Courses and Equivalencies

Approved Courses

The education requirements for certification are set out in the Schedule of Approved Courses (Table 1 and Table 2) appended to the Board of Examiners Agreement.

Schedule of Approved Courses

Applicants are responsible for ensuring that their completed coursework meets the education requirements applicable to the certificate they are applying for.

Equivalent Courses

Courses completed outside of the approved course list may be considered if they are deemed equivalent.

It is the applicant’s responsibility to determine whether a course meets equivalency requirements. If support is required in assessing whether a course transfers to an approved course, applicants must contact the University of Regina Registrar’s Office directly. UMAAS, the Board of Examiners, and the Board Secretary do not assess or pre-approve course equivalencies.

Important Reminder

Courses used to meet the requirements of a lower-level certificate cannot be reused toward higher-level certificates unless expressly permitted by Board policy. Applicants are encouraged to review certificate requirements carefully before enrolling in additional coursework.
