Office Inspection

An office inspection is a mandatory component of the certification process. The inspection confirms that municipal administrative practices, records, and financial controls meet the standards required by the UMAAS Board of Examiners.

A completed office inspection does not result in automatic certification. Applicants must submit the appropriate certificate application following completion of the inspection.

When an Office Inspection Is Required

An office inspection is required for:

  • Standard Certificate applications
  • Conditional Certificate applicants progressing toward a Standard Certificate
  • Reciprocity and Supervisor Sign-Off pathways, where applicable
  • Any application where the Board of Examiners determines an inspection is necessary

Office Inspection Process

  1. Review the Office Inspection Procedure and Office Inspection Checklist to understand inspection requirements.
  2. Submit the Office Inspection Application.
  3. Coordinate with the assigned inspector to complete the inspection.
  4. Address any deficiencies identified during the inspection, if required.
  5. Upon successful completion, submit the applicable certificate application to the Board of Examiners.

NOTE: Applicants are encouraged to review the Office Inspection Checklist carefully and ensure all required areas are addressed prior to scheduling an inspection.
